Ingredients, food experiences and gourmet excellence representing Made in Italy worldwide

FLICK ON FOOD, created by Dotfarm as a spinoff in 2016, immediately became its flagship product. Flick on Food was born in London and is developed in Italy, thanks to the work of founding partners Michela Di Nuzzo and Leo Mauriello. The app is available for free in Italian and English for both IOS and Android on their respective stores.

Today, Flick on Food launches the first food e-commerce, a direct communication channel between Food Industry 4.0 entrepreneurs and those hungry for knowledge, travel, sharing.

It is the first digital product dedicated entirely to the world of food, a true multiplatform channel spanning web, mobile and augmented reality bringing together producers, consumers and companies. Unique experiences will be available, offering users the chance to deepen their knowledge of specific food products, their creation, history and evolution.

Flick on Food is trademarked as “Made in Italy” because it was born in Italy and gives value to the Italian territory and Italian producers; but it does so with an international outlook, aiming to exalt enogastronomic riches worldwide. The platform is currently available in Italian and English, with producers and companies from around the world becoming involved in the coming months. The greatest advantage for consumers is being able to have information about ingredients, the chance to purchase local products and experiences, and the opportunity to learn about companies and their products in depth, all in one place.

For producers, Flick on Food offers global visibility, taking full advantage of digital tools and technology to bridge the gap between the food industry and new customers.

“We should be world leaders when it comes to food, local varieties and the history of Italian companies”, says co-founder Michela Di Nuzzo, who adds that the knowledge of local varieties is essential to giving value to the Italian territory.

“We want to encourage producers to see themselves as connectors, so that their territories become reception sites for international tourism and hubs where local products are valued. If this happens, Italian quality will automatically cease to depend on large distribution and its logic,” says Leo Mauriello, co-founder.
